Mount Abu, the only Hill Station in Rajasthan and is a popular summer retreat in Rajasthan near the border of Gujarat. Every year during the month of May, Mount Abu hosts the Summer Festival for three days. The festivals celebrates the cheerfulness and the warmth of this hill station and is the most colourful festival of them all. The hospitality of the people and the cultural festival organized during these three days is an experience one can never forget. The festival begins with a procession that starts from Hotel Shikhar and gathers at the Nakki Lake Chowk. There is a dazzling display of fireworks on all three days of the festival. The second and the third day of the festival is the most fun filled ones with various competition like the skating race, the horse race, boat race on the Lake followed by the CRPF show band. The Panihari Matka Race and the Deepdan adds to the excitement of the festival. Other tourist attractions in Mount Abu includes, the Marble sculpture of Dilwara Temples, the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, the Toad and the Turtle Rocks near the Nakki Lake.
