Mussoorie

Mussoorie is a typical hill station and is one of the top choices for honeymoon couples. While most things about this place make it a classic hill station, yet Mussoorie has many characteristics that set it apart and make it special.

It lies 25kms from Dehradun, and is like a breath of fresh air when you are coming from the city. The streets here are carpeted with pine cones that fall from the vast line up of pine trees and the breeze is gentle and cool. Talking of the view, you can be rest assured that you will be able to enjoy a liberal view of the snow capped Himalayas from various points.

Since it was discovered by Captain Young, a military officer in the 18th century, this hill station is characteristically British. Even today, his touch reflects in the architecture and the old British style town hall libraries. Go a little further and you will find Kempty falls, 11 kms away. Then of course there is Lal Tibba which is worth visiting. This is the highest point in Mussoorie. It offers amazing view of the the Badrinath, Kedarnath, Bandar-poonch, Sri Kantha and Nanda Devi peaks. Mussoorie is the place you should seriously consider next summer holiday.
