Vishakhapatnam
Often referred to as Vizag, Vishakhapatnam is a port city in the South-Eastern coast of India. It is the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh, after Hyderabad. The Eastern Naval Command of the India Navy has its headquarters in Vizag. Relics found from the Kalinga Kingdom, in the areas around Vishakhapatnam, prove that the place once had Buddhist influence. Vishakhapatnam has many ancient Buddhist temples and settlements, all around the place. Presently is has a cosmopolitan mix of people from all across India.

The view from the Kailashgiri hilltop park from where you can see the Bay of Bengal, is awesome. Also the view of the meandering beach road below in the city, is beautiful. The Rushikonda beach is a popular hangout for evening visitors. Simhachalam, a hill shrine in the north of the city, is a Lord Narsimha temple. Located at a height of 1000 meters, the Araku valley is pristine tourist spot. Known for its cascading waterfalls, streams, gardens and valleys. The Borra Caves, basically of Karstic limestone, on your way to the Araku valley has some impressive big, small and irregularly shaped stalagmites and stalactites. The climate of Vishakhapatnam is of tropical savanna. Vishakhapatnam is the second largest port city in Andhra Pradesh.
